- I have a proven track record of supporting Democratic candidates, ideals and values, and I can win in November. I have been a loyal registered Democratic voter for over twenty years. I have volunteered as a poll watcher for two Democratic Presidential campaigns. I have supported Democratic candidates with my time, talents and treasure. More recently, I became involved with the local Democratic Party, the Miami-Dade DEC. I am the elected Committeeman for District 45. I have lived in West Kendall since 1980. I know well the challenges we face in District 119, and I have the education, experience and skills to represent the needs of our community in the state legislature in Tallahassee.
- Experience matters. I have volunteered more than twenty years of service to the community as a Member and Chair of the Miami-Dade Unsafe Structures Board. As Chairman of the Board, I made sure that homeowners facing enforcement action brought by the County get a fair hearing. I made sure that interested parties, like neighbors, fellow homeowners and condo unit owners, had an opportunity to speak on cases that affected their property rights. Working with the Miami Coalition Against BSL and local elected leaders, we helped introduce county ordinances that advanced public safety and welfare of people and our canine family members. We also advocated for the local shelter to move towards a No-Kill facility.
- I am passionate about the causes I support. I bring positive energy and enthusiasm to my endeavors. I am an optimist. I believe that as residents and citizens we deserve a better government. A government more responsive to the needs of the people. A government that is more transparent, that is not run by persons with conflicts or who appear to have conflicts of interest. I believe that elected officials are first and foremost public servants, who represent the best interests of the people of Florida, who will work hard to put Florida's Families First!
