James D. Garvey Jr.
James D. Garvey Jr. (Republican Party) was a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, representing District 1. He assumed office in 2008. He left office on January 8, 2024.
Garvey (Republican Party) won re-election to the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to represent District 1 outright in the primary on October 12, 2019, after the general election was canceled.
Biography
Garvey practiced law with Hailey McNamara, where he specialized in insurance law and civil suits. Garvey has served on the state's Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Advisory Board.[1]
