James DeLeo was a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate. He represented District 10 from 1993 to 2010 and served as an Assistant Majority Leader. Before serving in the Senate, DeLeo served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1985 to 1993.

DeLeo attended DePaul University and Loop Junior College.

DeLeo is a full-time State Senator.
