James E. Barker
James E. "Eddie" Barker was a judge on the Douglas County State Court in Georgia.[1] He was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue in July 2010, and his most recent term expired in 2016.[2]
Education
Barker received his B.A. in history from Mercer University and his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law.[2]
Career
Prior to his appointment, Barker was an assistant district attorney for Douglas County, a position he had served in since 1993. In 1992, he worked for one year as assistant district attorney in the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit. Before this, he was an attorney in private practice.[2]
