James E. Herman

James E. Herman is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Barbara County in California. He was appointed by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in May 2005 to succeed James B. Jennings. Herman was automatically re-elected in 2012 and his current term will expire in 2019.[1][2]
Education
Herman received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D. from California Western School of Law. Herman also holds a LL.M. from New York University School of Law.[2]

2012 election
Herman ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Herman was automatically re-elected.[3]
