James Edward Rogan
James Edward Rogan is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in August 2006.[1][2]
Education
Rogan received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles Law School.[2]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County, Rogan was a member of the United States House of Representatives from California. He has served as the undersecretary of commerce and director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office during the Bush administration and he previously held the position of majority leader within the California State Assembly. Rogan has served as a judge on the Glendale County Municipal Court and has experience working as an attorney for both private law firms and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Currently, in addition to fulfilling his judicial duties on the Orange County Superior Court bench, Rogan works as an adjunct professor of law at Chapman University.[2]
