James Evans (Mississippi)
James "Jim" Evans (b. October 13, 1950) is a former Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 70 from 1992 to 2016.
Biography
Evans attended the Reformed Theological Seminary and South Carolina State College. His professional experience includes working as a minister, sports agent/promoter and teacher.[1]

After qualifying to run for re-election in District 70, Evans withdrew his candidacy and announced his retirement from the House following the end of his term.[2]
2011
On November 8, 2011, Evans won re-election to District 70 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011[3] and in the November 8 general election.[4][5]

On November 6, 2007, Evans was re-elected in District 70, running unopposed.[6]
