James Gavin
F. James Gavin was a superior court judge for Yakima County Superior Court in Washington.[1] He retired from this position on January 4, 2013.[2]
Education
Gavin earned his J.D. from the University of Washington in 1967.[2]
Career
Judge Gavin began his legal career as a deputy prosecutor in 1967. In 1969, he went to work in private practice as an attorney for the law firm of his father, John Gavin. His practice was focused on civil defense work. He was appointed to the Yakima County Superior Court by Governor John Spellman in 1983.[3]
