James Gonzalez is a Roosevelt alumnus and South Phoenix Native, born to a working-class family. He attended South Mountain Community College and later Columbia University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts. Currently, he is a College Success Coordinator at the Be A Leader Foundation guiding students throughout the Maricopa Community College District.
