It has been my privilege and honor to serve this district since 1999. I have always endeavored to do a good job, to do the right thing for all concerned without personal consideration. I have been tested. I am offering myself for re-election and would be honored to serve the residents, parents, students, teachers & administrators, and businesses of this district one more term. I would appreciate your vote.[10]

2014

Goode explained his reasons for running in 2014 on his campaign website:

Q. Why run again for a school board seat?
I am committed to our C-FB ISD school district. The purpose of a public school is to educate students and I am focused on student achievement for all students. As a district, we are doing great things for students and we need to continue. We have challenges ahead and need experienced local leadership working our community and state leaders to accomplish more.

Q. How will your prior education /experience prepare you to contribute to making decisions on behalf of our children, teachers, community as a school board member?
I have lived in Farmers Branch since 1979. My four children graduated from R. L. Turner High School, all four attended C-FB ISD from kindergarten through graduation. I have mentored students in our school district and have always attempted to understand the issues and concerns they have at school and at home. I have 30 years administrative and management experience in electronic technology. I am a life-long learner and have attended numerous leadership programs and seminars related to public school governance. I have 15 years of board experience at the local level and 5 years of board experience at the state level. Throughout my board tenure, I have consistently participated in regional and state level trustee activities & programs. I use all of this background as input in examining the needs of our district and how best to represent our district at the regional, state, and national levels.

Q. What can students, parents, voters expect from you during your term as a school board member?
They can expect to see a life-long learner who understands and values the critical importance of an education for tomorrow’s society and economy, a strong leader who values civility in public process, someone who understands the role of a board as it strives to guide and manage the district, someone with an incredible amount of respect for our teachers and principals that are on the front line with our children and parents, someone who recognizes and celebrates the successes of our students, teachers and schools.

They can expect to see me on the campus to observe and encourage principals, students and faculty. I will continue to use my experience, knowledge, training, and skills to help govern the district in it's primary mission and goal - the education and preparation of all students.[10]
