James Harry Covington (1870-1942) was the Chief Justice of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

He was nominated by President Woodrow Wilson on June 8, 1914 to fill the seat vacated by Harry Clabaugh. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 15th, and received commission that same day. He resigned on May 31, 1918.[1]
