  • Education is ranked number one for people over the age of 25 with just a ninth grade level of education. In Assembly District 3 Hispanic males have a 45.5 drop out rate and Hispanic women have a drop out rate a 36.6%.
  • Environment can no longer be ignored. As a Camp Fire survivor I know what global warming can do with lengthy hot summers and long term droughts have made the entire state more susceptible to the same devastating fires that took my home and my hometown.
  • Employment is at 50% in Assembly District 3. 43.1% have completely given up finding a good paying job. We need to bring back union manufacturing plants to the area, like solar panels, wind turbines, bio mass plants, and turbines for ocean wave generators.
Human rights. Whether the issues are accessibility for the disabled, women's rights to equal pay, and equity in healthcare coverage or gentrifying out low income families I am passionate about how disproportionate society has become and wanting to give people a more equitable part in life.
This branch of government is the closest to the hearts and minds of the people they represent. I would say ii is the action taken after the U. S. Census has reported their results. By passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes, and voting to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes. Not only that it determines the livelihoods of foster homes, mental health services, education, and the morality of our community.
I don't look up to a single individual, but I do look up to the courage and Perseverance, especially in moments of doubt to make a difference in changing society, such as Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Harvey Milk, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, President Nelson Mandela, Claudette Colvin, Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, President Abe Lincoln President Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt, President JFK, President LBJ, and President Barrack Obama.
The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism is a 2007 book by the Canadian author and social activist Naomi Klein. In the book, Klein argues that neoliberal free market policies have risen to prominence in some developed countries because of a deliberate strategy of "shock therapy".
Compassion, flexibility, integrity, honesty, honor, civility and gratitude are just a few that ways a person should be seen upholding the position of an elected official.
In 1969, the space race ended with the United States being first to land on the moon. I was five years old, and I remember my parents calling me in from the front yard to come watch Neil Armstrong take those first steps, not for nationalism, but for Mankind. To see an entire planet, Earth, without borders made me understand why I liked Star Trek, in reruns a lot more as a kid.
My first job at seventeen was at a fast food restaurant part time. It helped me stay interested in graduating from Paradise High School. I stayed loyal to that job for at least a decade. I learned a lot about team work and becoming a leader of a shift with people much older than myself.
The well being of a society within an individual state is the most important responsibility that this office holds towards race, creed, gender equality, sexual orientation, age, accessibility, poverty, and mental care.
Maybe. But what seems to be the case is that most that have that experience also are tied in with special interests groups. They become blinded by the ambition for greed and power losing site to resolve the suffering of the people in their district, and spend more time supporting those big corporations that put them in office.
