James Hoisington was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 70 of the Michigan House of Representatives.[1][2]

Elections for the Michigan House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. James Hoisington defeated Ken Hart in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Rick Outman was unopposed in the Republican primary. Outman defeated Hoisington in the general election.[3][4][1][2]

Hoisington was a Democratic candidate for District 33 in the Michigan State Senate in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. Hoisington was unopposed in the August 3rd Democratic primary. He was defeated by Judy Emmons (R) in the November 2 general election.[5]
