I am James Kerbow. Born and raised in Denton County, Texas, and I am currently serving as the Justice of the Peace in Precinct 3.

My wife, Jessica, and I have 3 boys and are raising them no more than a quarter mile from my childhood home. I've spent my life and career serving people. My heart and passion in serving others.

My wife and I also serve in our church as youth leaders for middle school students.
  • I am the most qualified candidate for Justice of the Peace. Since my first election, I have taken the court paperless, making it more efficient and saving tax payers money. I spent 8 years in property management before being elected, providing legal experience in other JP courts in Dallas and Collin County. Eviction laws are my expertise.
  • Courtroom accessibility. In 2020, I took the court online and we have never looked back! For the people that can not take off work or have means to get to court, we have made Zoom available to access the court to ease the burden on those facing hardships. A court that is more available and accessible is a court for the People. This is the very definition of the People's Court!
  • Community impact. I work hard to make sure the community that i grew up in and raise my family in is served with a high level of integrity and compassion. I've partnered with the other judges in Denton County and LISD to combine all of LISD's filings here in JP3. This provides more consistency, and effectiveness for the schools, students and parents. We focus on the success of the students. This innovative relationship has returned a 96.04% attendance rate across LISD! Successful students and schools make a successful community!
