James L. Rhodes
James L. Rhodes is a former judge of the Cook County 2nd Subcircuit in Illinois.[1] He was first elected to the court in 1996.[2] He retired in 2016.[3]

Rhodes was retained to the Cook County 2nd Subcircuit with 74.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]
Evaluations
The Illinois State Bar Association rated James L. Rhodes as Recommended for retention in 2014.[5]
Education
Rhodes earned a B.A. from Knox College, going on to receive his J.D. from the University of Michigan. He was admitted to the bar in 1975.[6]
Career
Prior to his judicial election in 1996, Rhodes was an assistant public defender.[2]
