James L. Sanchez is a district court judge in the Thirteenth Judicial District of New Mexico.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Susana Martinez in May 2012 and elected on November 6, 2012.[2]
He was retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[3]

Sanchez was retained to the 13th District Court with 71.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]

Sanchez was elected to the district court in 2012. He defeated LaDonna L. Giron in the November 6 general election.[4]
Education
Sanchez received a B.B.A. from New Mexico State University, and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico.[5]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Sanchez was a trial attorney in Valencia County, New Mexico.[2]
