James Martz

James Martz is a judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Charlie Crist on Sept. 14, 2010. He replaced retired Judge Edward A. Garrison. Martz was re-elected in 2012 and his current term expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3][4]
2012 election
Martz ran for re-election on Aug. 14, 2012. He defeated Margherita Downey with 58.1% of the vote.[4][5]

Education
Martz graduated from Empire State College and Nova Southeastern Law School.[1]
Career
Martz, a former law enforcement officer, began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in Palm Beach. He worked in that capacity from 1995 to 1996 and then from 1997 to 2006. From 1996 to 1997, he was a managing partner of Martz-Curie, PA. In 2006, he became a judge of the Palm Beach County Court, where he served until his elevation to the circuit court in 2010.[1]
