James Morris, Missouri Representative
James Morris (b. February 8, 1962) is a former Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives. He represented District 58 from 2009 to 2011.
Morris is a Pastor at Lane Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He previously served as Pastor of Saint James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church from 1995-2000, Director of Student Development at Saint Paul School of Theology from 1993-1995, and Pastor of Saint Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church from 1991-1995. He earned his B.S. from Murray State University.
Morris is President of Metropolitan Organization Strengthening and Empowering Society, Board Member of Healthcare for All, Board Member of In It to Win, and a member of the NAACP. He is married and has 3 children.[1]

Morris lost to Penny Hubbard in the Democratic primary on August 3 by a margin of 1,600-1,296. Hubbard was unopposed in the general election on November 2.
