James Morrison (Wisconsin)

James Morrison is a judge for Branch 2 of the Marinette County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was appointed by Governor Scott Walker in March 2012 to succeed Tim Duket.[1]
In June 2016, Morrison was named one of five finalists for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court to fill the projected vacancy created by the retirement of Justice David Prosser in July 2016.[2] He was not selected to continue in the appointment process.
Education
Morrison received his undergraduate degree in biology from the College of St. Thomas in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1973.[1]

Morrison was re-elected after defeating candidate Allen R. Brey in the general election on April 2, 2013.[3][4]
