James N. O'Hara
James N. O'Hara (Democratic Party) was a judge for the 14th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He assumed office on June 16, 2008. He left office on January 17, 2023.
O'Hara ran for re-election for the 14th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.
Education
O'Hara earned a B.A. from Western Illinois University, going on to receive his J.D. from the University of Bridgeport Law School in Connecticut. He was admitted to the bar in 1981.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the bench, O'Hara was a sole practitioner in Chicago. He was previously affiliated with Merrill Lynch and Victor Cacciatore's Chicago law firm, also having served as an assistant Illinois attorney general and an assistant Cook County public defender.[1]
