The city of Jacksonville, Florida, held elections for mayor and city council on May 19, 2015. A primary took place on March 24, 2015. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary election for District 3, its general election was canceled. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 16, 2015. All 19 city council seats were up for election.[2]

In the primary election for District 3, Aaron Bowman (R) defeated James Nealis (R).[3] Incumbent Richard Clark (R) was ineligible to run for re-election due to term limits.[4]
