Issues

Positions

Civil Unions

Nease believes firmly in the abdication of Government from the institution of marriage, marriage is to be seen as a social contract and not be construed as legality; Nease believes that civil unions should be co-opted at the State level and allow for any consenting individuals to enter into those contracts regardless of sexual orientation or religious belief. James Nease supports initiatives to affront same-sex couples the same legal rights in terms of tax deductions ,property co-ownership, custody, and medical rights.

Education

Nease supports initiatives to improve Indiana's math and science scores and to allow greater opportunity for high school students to earn college credit through AP/CLEP testing; Nease also supports increasing technology in schools and has offered plans to introduce Kindles to replace text-books in all public schools.[4]

Government Spending/Taxation

Nease is an adamant supporter of Land-Value Taxation, and supports eliminating both the sales and excise tax which he believes negatively impacts the middle and lower class by punishing them for consumerism. Nease also favors cutting unneeded programs out of the State budget and often cites gambling and sports subsidies as unconstitutional and unnecessary.

Healthcare

Nease opposes the individual mandate affronted by the American Healthcare Act, which he believes benefits large-hospitals and insurance firms and is tantamount to crony capitalism; Nease offers different solutions to insure Hoosiers such as setting up Sovereign Wealth Funds to establish quasi-universal healthcare for the citizens of Indiana.

Women's Rights

Nease is a pro-choice candidate and believes firmly in a woman's right to choose; Nease also supports over-the-counter contraception for women and actively pursues discussion to open the market for the combination and mini-pill to be sold over-the-counter at pharmacies and reducing red-tape that prevents women form accessing contraception, including FDA, age and physician requirements.

Legalization

Nease believes in total decriminalization and legalization of marijuana and hemp product, and cites economic benefits as well as anti-gang benefits as a source of legitimacy,

Economy

Nease supports eliminating oppressive patent laws and limited liability corporation contracts, supports small businesses, green industries, and co-ops; Nease believes the biggest threat to the Indiana economy is a lack of innovation in our infrastructure that de-incentivises companies to relocate to Indiana.
