James P. Smith (Georgia)
James P. Smith was a federal bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Middle District of Georgia. He was appointed to the court on February 22, 2010, and retired on February 22, 2024.[1][2]
Education
Smith received his undergraduate degree, master's degree, and J.D. from The University of Georgia.[3]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Smith spent his legal career in private practice focusing on business litigation and bankruptcy.[3]
