I'm James B. Parker, Engineer, Activist, and third generation Granite Stater.

I'm running as a Republican for NH State Representative for Merrick 6th District (Bradford, Henniker) In my Engineering career I have solved the most difficult problems, and led technical teams to reach challenging goals. I want to use the same skills in getting to the bottom of problems in Concord. I have been a property rights, gun rights and medical rights activist, running for the office of County Commissioner as a Libertarian to force a change to a corrupt County Board in Michigan, and again here in Hillsborough County NH to raise awareness about County finances and oversight of the private jail. This year, I don't have the luxury of running Libertarian due the severity of the threats to our Constitutional Republic at the national and state level. The fight for our rights is at a tipping point. You can count on me to uphold ALL of your rights under the Constitution.

Right to keep and use your property Right to educate your children as you see fit Right to decide what goes into your body Right to keep & bear arms

  • Right to keep and use your property. NO INCOME TAX! Place "sunset law" or property tax cap on local taxing authorities, and, after sunset date, replace with service fee.
  • Right to educate your children as you see fit. Parents should choose their child's education and school.
  • Right to keep & bear arms. "Red Flag law" violates EVERY principle in the Constitution!

Education

Business incentives
Thomas Edison. He led by his imagination, always believed in himself, and he didn't give up.
Strong grounding in the history and basic principles of the United States of America and of New Hampshire.

The drive to work to advance the cause of personal liberty.

The ability to analyze and solve difficult problems.
To advance, support and introduce legislation that advances the freedom of my constituents to think and act to improve their lives, consistent with the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire.

To respond to the concerns of my constituents.

To carefully consider the root causes of problems that have been difficult to solve in the past.
To leave the Constitutional foundations of New Hampshire in better condition than when I found them.
Stranger in a Strange Land

Perspectives on our society are presented through the eyes of an alien, absent our preexisting value judgments.
To stick up for my principles against adverse voices.
The House of Representatives is the People's House, where citizens come to express their views and can expect a hearing from a Representative who depends on their support. This is because there are only about 2400 constituents per Representative in New Hampshire. Also, Representatives are drawn from many walks of life, better representing the human experience.

The Senate has only 24 members, and so has much less direct representation. Senators tend to be lawyers, which is good in a sense but means they are less typical of the population.
By design, they function as counterbalances to one another. At this time, the governor needs more friendly voices from his party in the legislature because the opposing party seeks to breach the limits of the Constitution.
Yes. I look forward to cooperating between members of my own party and the opposition party. Furthermore, my political acquaintances and I have a history of being part of a critical swing vote that brought cooperation between parties on certain issues, and frequently charted an independent and innovative course.
The Eighth Amendment should not apply for those seeking to screw with redistricting again.
