My name is James Pearman and I am running for the SC state House of Representatives, District 12. I am a college educated conservative Republican. I stand for less government intervention in our lives and am for lower taxes, better education, and protecting all of our Constitutional rights. District 12 has had Democrat representation for many years and I am running to bring conservative thinking into our part of the great state of South Carolina. A vote for me is a vote for conservative ideas.
  • Less Government intervention in our lives
  • Keep Politicians out of Medical decisions. Let doctors be the doctors.
  • Promote job growth and improve Education.
Education reform, protecting our right to bear arms and trying to get the Government and Politicians out of Healthcare.
I am compassionate, empathetic, and patient. I believe these are all qualities needed to be successful in a public office.
To truly listen to constituents concerns and voice their opinions in Columbia.
That I brought forward issues pertinent to our district.
No, I believe that the longer a person is in politics, the higher the chance of corruption. That is why I am in favor of term limits for public office. Also, by continuously bringing in new representatives, there will always be a true representation of current issues not influenced by politics.
Improving infrastructure, Education reform, and Attracting companies to move to South Carolina so there is competition for good paying jobs.
Yes, good working relationships are essential to agreement on different issues.
The Districts should be set where they make sense and gerrymandering should not be allowed. The district lines are currently drawn in a convoluted way that does not make sense.
I have repeatedly heard that the school system is too focused on constant federal testing and it gets in the way of learning. I have also found that a lot of teachers are underpaid and are afraid to speak up about problems in the school system due to fear of retribution. This needs to change.
