I am a father, husband, coach and community volunteer in Manchester NH who has been focused on developing and empowering the youth of this great city for the last 14 years. I have served on the PTO of Smyth Road (my daughter Alice is in 3rd grade) for the past 3 years and realized I needed to get more involved to make a bigger difference in our schools. I served as the Membership Director of the YMCA Allard Center and as a board member there, chairing the Reach Out for Youth & Families Fundraising committee, which raised over $245,000.00 for the underserved members of our community. I have also coached Track & Cross Country in the city at West High and the Derryfield school as well as clinics for Central athletes over the summers for the last 9 years. I spent 6 years coaching Manchester North Soccer & Little league as well as serving as the President/Coach of the Greater Manchester Running Club. For the last 4 years I have run the GMRC summer track series, a 4 weeks series that draws over 500 kids a year for athletic competition. Before my daughter was born I owned my own restaurant for 5 years and ran the food service at the the Taylor Communities(a multi level senior, assisted living & nursing home facility). This business experience allowed me to write & manage million dollar budgets and manage staffs of 30-50 employees.
  • Fight for a fair contract for our teachers/professional that truly values their contribution to our community and our childrens lives.
  • Work to bring more financial resources to our school district so Manchester schools are above the state average in funding per student
  • Use evidence based research to implement an innovative curriculum that prepares our students to achieve in a 21st century economy.
I come from a family of teachers and I am extremely passionate about funding public education so teachers have every resource they need to develop todays students so the can achieve at a maximum level and reach their full potential. I grew up driving around in a station wagon with the bumper sticker that said 'Wouldnt it be great if schools had all the money they need and the Pentagon needed to have a bake sale to buy a bomber'. I believe as a society we undervalue the importance of public education, teachers and the other professionals that help shape our children future. I want to be their champion so every kid in Manchester gets a quality education and lives a fulfilling life! This is the best city in the state. It deserves the best schools!
