James Proctor Jr. (Maryland)
James E. Proctor, Jr. (June 14, 1936 - September 10, 2015) was a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 27A from his appointment to the chamber in May 1990 to his death from complications from heart disease in September 2015.[1]
Biography
Proctor's professional experience included working as an educator, a Virology Research Technician at the National Institute of Health, and a Principal in the Prince George's County School System. He served in the United States Air Force.

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent James E. Proctor, Jr. was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Joe Crawford was unopposed in the Republican primary. Proctor defeated Crawford in the general election.[2][3][4]
2010
Proctor successfully won re-election in the general election on November 2, 2010. He took the first of two seats in the district.[5]
2006
On November 7, 2006, James Proctor, Jr. ran for District 27A of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the first of two seats, beating Joseph Vallario, Jr., Kenneth Brown, and Antoinette Jarboe-Duley.[6]
