James R. Clayton

James R. Clayton is a judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected in 2002, effective the following January, and he was re-elected without opposition in 2014.[1][2][3] His current six-year term expires on January 4, 2021.[4]

Education
Clayton received his B.A. degree from Stetson University and his J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law.[5]
Career
Clayton worked as a private practice attorney for over 20 years prior to his election to the Seventh Circuit in 2002. At the time of his election, he was also working as a part-time assistant state attorney.[1]
