James R. Fullwood
James R. Fullwood was a district court judge for the 10th Judicial District, serving Wake County of North Carolina.[1] He joined the court in 1989 and retired at the end of 2014.[2][3]
Education
Fullwood received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1965 and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1968.[4][5]
Career
Before he became a judge, Fullwood worked as an attorney in private practice for eighteen years. He also served as an assistant solicitor for two years.[5]
Elections
2010
Fullwood ran for election to the 10th Judicial District. He defeated incumbent Brad Sahl in the general election, winning 53.77% of the vote.[6] Though judges in the state do not run with party affiliation, he is endorsed by the North Carolina Democratic Party.[7]
