James Griffith (New York)
James R. Griffith is a judge of the Oneida County Family Court in New York. He assumed office in 1999.

Education
Griffith received his B.A. degree from Princeton University in 1976 and his J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 1980.[1]
Career
Griffith began his career in 1976 as investigations staff for a U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee. He left that position the following year to work as a private practice lawyer, serving in the New York state and federal courts from 1981 to 1998. He worked as an associate of the New York firms of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Hiscock & Barclay. He then served as a partner of Felt, Hubbard before working with his father at Griffith Law Offices in Rome, NY. In 1999, he joined the Family Court bench.[1][2]
