James R. Mitchell

James R. Mitchell was a judge of the 30th Judicial District, Division C in Louisiana. He was elected to this position on October 4, 2008, to replace former Judge Lester P. Kees.[1][2] He passed away on July 24, 2015, at the age of 69.[3]
Education
Mitchell earned an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, going on to receive his J.D. from Louisiana State University Law School.[4]
Career
Prior to his election, Mitchell ran a private practice in Leesville, La., that he founded in 1974.[4]
