With over 40 years of marital bliss and the proud parent of seven children, I also bring four decades of hands-on civil engineering experience to the table. From subdivisions to freeways to sewer outfall lines out in the ocean. This includes a substantial stint of nearly ten years in the Guadalupe County Road and Bridge Department, where I've actively contributed to the county's development. My diverse roles, such as a church Deacon, Texas Ramp Project team member, Food Bank distribution team member, and Seguin ISD School Health Advisory Council participant, reflect my extensive teamwork skills and unwavering dedication to community service.
- An important issue facing the residents of Guadalupe County is the growth that we are experiencing. As we grow, we need more services for you in Guadalupe County. This includes improved roadways, public safety, and EMS for our citizens. With this growth, we have an increased income coming in without the need to be increasing your property tax rate to provide these additional services.
- My secondary focus lies in managing the county budget, a pivotal factor influencing property taxes. I am committed to diligently avoiding any rise in the county tax rate. With a burgeoning population and increased housing construction, I aim to leverage additional revenue streams to balance the costs of expanding services.
- Covering a vast expanse, Precinct 1 includes sections of New Braunfels, Kingsbury, and Seguin. As a dedicated full-time commissioner, I commit to daily availability, prioritizing the welfare of Precinct 1 and ensuring its residents receive continuous support and benefits under my watchful eye.
James Ransdell is also a strong advocate for the principles outlined in the Texas Republican Preamble. Affirming our belief in God, we still hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. I am committed to limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty. As your commissioner, I will work to promote these principles and ensure that Precinct 1 remains a strong, vibrant community.
