I have lived in Montana for most of my life and I am proud to call Billings home. I was born and raised in the hard-working and union-supporting city of Butte, America. My mother operates a 200-head cattle ranch outside of Boulder, and my father is an architect specializing in preserving our historic buildings.

After obtaining a law degree from the University of Montana, earning a Master’s in Public Administration, and passing the bar, I went to work as a public defender. I served as a public defender for eleven years. Each day I worked to ensure the liberties and freedoms we enjoy under the Constitution are protected. I recently entered private practice to work in family law, criminal defense, and appeals before the Montana Supreme Court.

I am running to be your next state representative because I am not happy with the decisions being made in our Legislature and I want to make a change. I have the experience, legal background, and energy to do a good job representing everyday Montanans. I want to improve your standard of living in the Treasure State. I will be a hard-working, independent voice who will follow the facts and I will listen to you.
  • Hard working problem solver who will work on both sides of the aisle to pass good laws.
  • Freedom - Safety - Reform
  • I have a decade of experience practicing before the Montana Supreme Court and I have been involved in the last five legislative sessions. I am ready to hit the ground running as your state representative from Day 1.
My constituents, not me, set the issues. Issues that are particularly important for this upcoming session are property taxes, affordable housing, public safety, protecting the Medicaid expansion, and reforming Montana State Hospital and mental health services.
Leaving the Legislature better off than when I got there.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Montana

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
