James N. Robey is a former Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 13 from 2007 to 2013. Robey did not seek re-election in 2014.

Robey served as Majority Leader from 2013 to 2014, Assistant Deputy Majority Leader from 2008 to 2013 and Deputy Majority Whip in 2007.

Roney earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and his master's degree in Administration and Management from Hood College.[1]

Robey defeated Republican candidate Kyle Lorton by a margin of 28,258 to 16,503 in the November 2 general election.[2]

On November 7, 2006, Robey ran for District 13 of the Maryland State Senate, beating Sandra Schrader.[4]
