Ross ran for election to the 4th Judicial District.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 19.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Sophia Dixon Brown and Larry D. Jefferson.

Ross received a B.A. from Southern University, going on to earn his J.D. there as well. He was admitted to the bar in 1982.[3]
Career
Ross is an attorney in private practice with the Ross Law Firm in Monroe, Louisiana.[3]
