James T. Browning

James "Tim" Browning is a judge on the Levy County Court, Florida. He was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist in December of 2009.[1][2] He was re-elected in 2012 for a term that ends in January of 2019.[3][4]
Education
Browning received an A.A. degree from Miami University and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law. He was admitted to the bar in 1988.[5]
Career
Browning worked as a prosecutor from 1989 until he became a judge. He has served as the Division Chief of the Gilchrist County State Attorney's Office and the Levy County State Attorney's Office. He was also the Chief of Crimes Against Women and Families and the Chief of Special Prosecutions. He joined the County Court in 2009. He also serves as an acting circuit judge for the 8th Circuit Court, Levy County.[1][6]
2012 election
Browning was re-elected in the primary on Aug. 14, 2012. He defeated Cyndee Munkittrick with 59.8% of the vote.[4][7]
