James W. Adair, III was a 2013 candidate for the Franklin County Municipal Court, Environmental Division in Franklin County, Ohio. He ran to finish the unexpired term of retired judge Harland H. Hale.[1][2]

Adair, III ran for election to the Franklin County Municipal Court.

General: He was defeated by Frank Macke, Martin C. Nobile, and incumbent, Judge Daniel Hawkins in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 13.4 percent of the vote.

Education

Adair received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D. from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.[1]

Career

Adair began his career as a general and enforcement counsel for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. He served in that position for thirteen years. He was also the executive director of the former Ohio Hazardous Waste Facility Board for three years. Since 1989, Adair has worked as a general practice lawyer.[1][7]
