General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas H. Alford.

Walters received a B.A. from Northeastern State University, and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law.[2]
Career
Walters has served as an assistant district attorney in Muskogee County. He's also worked in private practice, recently at the firm Rodolf & Todd, which focuses on medical malpractice defense cases.[2]
