James Wexstten
James M. Wexstten was a judge on the Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court. He was appointed to this position on February 2, 2007 and was retained by voters in 2008.[1] Wexstten retired on January 29, 2014.[2]
Education
Wexstten received his B.S. degree from Kaskaskia College in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale in 1976.[1]
Career
Wexstten worked as a private practice lawyer in Mt. Vernon, Illinois for eleven years before he was elected circuit judge at-large for the 2nd Circuit Court in 1988. He served as chief judge on this court from 1991 to 1993 and from 2000 to 2003. Wexstten served on the 2nd Circuit Court court until becoming an appellate judge in 2007.[1]
