James Worton
James Worton is a judge of the Superior Court of Bartholomew County, Indiana. He was elected in November 2012, and his current term expires in 2018.
Education
Worton received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University, going on to earn his J.D. from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.[1]
Career
Worton has worked as an attorney in private practice and as a Columbus Police Detective. He previously served as Columbus City Police Chief.[1]
2012 election
Worton ran against incumbent Chris D. Monroe in the 2012 primary election.[2] Worton defeated Monroe in the primary, and faced Joe Meek in the general election. Worton was successful in his bid, receiving 64.3% of the vote.[3]
