I am a Michigander and near life-long Wayne County resident. I am a proud mom of 3 and granny of 2 awesome little girls. I am also a proud alum of Wayne County Community College District and Wayne State University (Go Warriors!) and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor society. I hold a Baccalaureate of Arts in Anthropology from Oregon State University and a Master of Arts in Historical Archaeology from WSU. I have worked in Information Technology supporting Michigan's automotive industry for over 20 years. I am running as a non-partisan candidate for County Commission District 11 because I care deeply about the opportunities, well-being, and issues important to people in our communities.
  • Reducing the tax burden of citizens in the district without impacting essential services
  • Removing barriers to employment, starting and funding businesses, and building affordable housing
  • Funding County infrastructure projects; roads, and drainage, signals without raising tax rates when individuals in our community can least afford it.
There are two areas that I am especially passionate about; oversight and accountability in the Criminal Justice System and removing barriers for citizens. I am focused on policy changes and enforcement that works to reduce community and law enforcement interactions, keep our communities and officers safe, while ensuring that community members have trust in the system. I am also focused on removing barriers and reducing burdens imposed by Wayne County including property tax reductions, reforming licensure requirements reform, and a review/reduction of county ordinances that negatively impact our communities and individuals' ability to live and work in peace.
They are servants first, accountable, and focused on working on behalf of community members.
