Bond attended Montgomery County Public Schools, graduating from Christiansburg High School. She and her husband, Wendell, have two sons and one daughter. She is the owner and operator at Old Town Barber.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Montgomery County Public Schools school board in Virginia were up for by-district general election on November 7, 2017. In their bids for re-election to the District A and D seats, incumbents Gunin Kiran and Jamie Bond ran unopposed. In the race for the open District C seat, Dana Partin defeated Tim Thornton.[2]
