Jaime Horn is the CEO of Carnaval Entertainment and its subsidiary Young Progressive Federation. A lifelong Great Falls resident, Jaime would be the first Hispanic legislator in Montana history should be be elected this November. He had the honor of graduation from Great Falls Central Catholic High School class of 2017, which he considers the best period of his life at the best school in the world (GO MUSTANGS!!!!). Jaime's family tree also claims relation to the Kennedys on his maternal side.
  • Jaime is dedicated to empowering young people and Gen Z'ers. He intends to do by introducing reform for Montana's failed sexual education system, and break societal conditioning which encourages nuclear families and young commitments.
  • The working class is Jaime's main base and among his primary focus. Should Great Falls send him to Helena this January, he will propose a bill gradually raising the minimum wage and bolstering small business with a tax cut.
  • Non-violent felons and those who have committed misdemeanors should not have their lives ruined. Jaime's criminal justice plan includes automatic expungement for all prior convictions and release of all non-violent offenders currently serving time.
Jaime cares about Great Falls first and foremost, often describing the area as a forgotten community. Every issue he has chosen to focus on affects Great Falls directly, and his message can be summed up as finally forcing Helena to care about what happens in this once, thriving city.
Out of all my political inspirations, Abraham Lincoln stands tallest both figuratively and literally. His dedication to civil rights and freedom for people of all races and backgrounds shaped progressivism and libertarianism alike.
Person of Interest, American Odyssey, and the Assassin's Creed video game series all influenced my views during my teen years. They Live also provides excellent commentary on corporatism and propaganda.
I refuse to take corporate money and cannot be bought or sold. My populism over partisanship is sadly a rare quality that I am proud to possess.
Dedication to one's constituents first and foremost, which in my mind is best represented through a progressive outlook. To that end, doing what's right for your district and fighting those who would abandon said district is vital and inseparable from a principled legislator.
One that reflects a fighter who changed the world for the positive, and one that broke centuries long traditionalism particularly in the field of marriage and children.
I remember being at my grandparents' house when the September 11th Attacks occurred and being woken in the early morning hours as my grandfather was the station manager at Delta Great Falls. The ensuing War on Terror and illegal invasion of Iraq shaped my views on foreign policy into a position of libertarianism and non-interventionism.
I worked at Miller Dining Hall in Bozeman in my junior year of college.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for its excellent writing and the inspiration it gave me as a starving writer.
Tori Vega - VICTORiOUS for her talent, kind heart, and the opportunity to attend a school like Hollywood Arts.
I Want You Back - Victoria Justice ft. The Cast of VICTORiOUS
My family has never been wealthy; I come from several generations of working class on both sides. Our brushes with gross poverty shaped me into the person I am today.
The Senate and House are both necessary, and are needed to give every piece of legislation a proper vetting. Both chambers differ in their numbers and party makeup which is vital to democracy.
Not at all. Every great statesman has to start somewhere, and state elections are what give us the great federal leaders of tomorrow.
Rebuilding communities like Great Falls and Black Eagle. Montana is without question not shrinking, yet it seems to take a long while for forgotten communities to catch up with say Bozeman and Billings. We have to focus on empowering our youth and strengthening the poor and working class, demographics that form the backbone of our cities and towns.
One that puts aside partisanship for the good of the people. Our local GOP's open dedication to opposing Democrats and progressives no matter the circumstances has done and continues to do untold damage.
In a word, absolutely. I fully intend to work my tail off for my friends and fellow progressives such as Jasmine Taylor and Helena Lovick, because standing alone makes passing a positive agenda exponentially more difficult.
Any process which doesn't blatantly hand an advantage to any particular party and represents the people.
Any education-based committee. I come from several generations of teachers and currently study high school education in college. None will fight harder than me for educators and students alike.
I would be ready and willing to do whatever is best for my constituents. If I felt leadership was one of those routes, I would absolutely be interested.
Jacob Bachmeier's inspirational tale of defeating an incumbent as a high school senior partially inspired my run. I've since had the privilege of communicating with Jacob and getting to know him.
I may or may not have considered a campaign for Governor in 2024. Right now, my top priority is getting my message out there, and representing the concerns of my district.
My dear friend Jasmine Taylor's story of her brother being diagnosed with a chronic illness at such a young age, and her parents' fight to keep him alive is indicative of the flaws in our healthcare system and how coverage is a human right.
