Jamie Johnson is seeking election to the Missouri House of Representatives for the newly-drawn District 12 in the Northland of Kansas City, MO. She aims to become the district’s first representative by authentically advocating for her community and securing their support.

Jamie Johnson is committed to funding public education, securing affordable and responsive healthcare, and supporting our veteran community. She will fight to defend workers’ rights, voters’ rights, victims of domestic violence, and fight for lawful, safe gun ownership.

  • Missouri currently ranks 49th in the nation in public school funding, yet our public education is under attack. I will endeavor to ensure Missouri public education is fully funded so our teachers can teach and our children can access the quality learning they all deserve.
  • Healthcare decisions should be made in concert with your healthcare provider and your family. Whether reproductive decisions or gender affirming care, the state legislature should not be involved.
  • The foundation of my campaign is community. We have an opportunity with this new seat to declare what is really important to us as a collective. Together, we can continue to build a thriving sustainable community, one that listens with the intent to understand, and one that celebrates the strength of our commonalities and our differences alike. I’m ready to listen to all of the citizens of District 12 so I can best understand and fight for their interests in Jefferson City.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
