Tyler's campaign website stated the following:

Priorities

This campaign is focused on improving student outcomes and being a good steward of taxpayers’ hard-earned money. While Arlington ISD provides numerous educational opportunities, our state ratings do not yet fully reflect the excellence of instruction offered.

My plan focuses on bridging the gap between the district’s abundant educational opportunities and its current state ratings, which do not adequately reflect the dedication of our students and teachers. Through targeted initiatives, I aim to ensure that every child receives the high-quality instruction and support necessary to thrive. Below, I outline my key priorities and proposed actions.

1. Enhancing Educational Excellence

Arlington ISD possesses a wealth of programs and resources, yet improvements in instructional quality and outcomes are essential to align with state standards and parental expectations. My goal is to make neighborhood schools the preferred option for families by insuring that the instructional materials provide classical practices with rigor.

2. Ensuring Safe Learning Environments

A secure school setting is foundational to effective education. I will prioritize measures that will provide for safe classrooms where all students can learn and teachers’ full attention can be focused on instructional outcomes. Classrooms and school spaces that are free of distractions and disruptions are fundamental to learning.

3. Supporting Teachers, Students and Parents

Teachers, students, and parents are at the heart of our educational system, and their hard work must yield the outcomes they deserve. I will champion initiatives that respect teacher input, that insure that all student’s educational needs are recognized, and parents are equipped with information and tools to enable them to be very important part of the teaching team.

4. Building Strong Community Relationships

Effective governance requires collaboration among stakeholders. My common-sense approach to relationships will guide efforts to unite parents, educators, and the community in support of Arlington ISD’s mission.
