Jancie Vinson was a candidate for the District 5 seat on the Alachua County School Board in Florida. She was defeated by Rob Hyatt in the general election on August 26, 2014. Vinson previously ran for the District 5 seat in 2010, but lost the election to Carol Oyenarte.

Vinson earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of Florida. At the time of her candidacy, Vinson was working as a correctional probation specialist for the Florida Department of Corrections.[1]

The August 26, 2014, general election in Alachua County featured three seats up for election. Incumbent Gunnar F. Paulson faced and defeated challenger Philoron A. Wright in the District 3 race. Rob Hyatt and Jancie Vinson sought to replace Carol Oyenarte, who did not file for re-election in District 5. Hyatt won the vacated seat. District 1 incumbent April M. Griffin won re-election without opposition for a second term in the District 1 seat.
