Jane F. Spande
Jane F. Spande is a former associate judge of the Sixth District of Iowa. She was appointed to this position in 1985.[1] Spande retired from the court on August 31, 2016.[2]
Education
Spande was born in Caledonia, MN and grew up in Mabel, MN. She received her bachelor's of science degree (in Teaching) from Mankato State College in 1972 and her law degree from the University of Iowa in 1977.[1]
Career
Spande began her career in 1977 as an assistant Linn County attorney. She worked in this position until her judicial appointment in 1985. She also worked as a private practice lawyer from 1979 to 1985.[1]
2012 election
Spande was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 79.86% of the vote.[3][4]
