Jane Goff (Democratic Party) was a member of the Colorado State Board of Education, representing Colorado's 7th Congressional District. Goff assumed office in 2008. Goff left office on January 12, 2021.

Goff was first appointed to the position in 2008 and was elected to a full term later that year.

Biography

A language teacher with a background in French and Spanish, Goff graduated from Colorado State University and began a 34-year language teaching career in the Jefferson County school system. Goff went on to serve as president of the Jefferson County Education Association between 1998 and 2000 and as vice president of the Colorado Education Association between 2000 and 2006. Goff also served as a legislative aide in the Colorado House of Representatives.[1]

Colorado State Board of Education (2008-2021)

Goff was first appointed to the Colorado State Board of Education in 2008 following the resignation of Karen Middleton to join the Colorado House of Representatives.[2] Goff was elected to serve a full term in November 2008 and was reelected in 2014. During her time on the board, Goff spent a term as president of the National Association of State Boards of Education.[1]

On November 4, 2014, Jane Goff won re-election to the office of Colorado State Board of Education, District 7. She defeated Laura Boggs in the general election.
