Career

Before her election to the Third District Court of Appeals, Markey served as a district court judge and as a pre-hearing attorney and law clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals. She also previously worked as an attorney in private practice.[1]

Markey was defeated in her attempt to run for the Michigan Supreme Court by Judge Colleen O'Brien of the Oakland County Circuit Court at the Michigan GOP State Convention in September 2012.[3]
