Jane Pearl
Jane Pearl was a judge for the New York County Family Court in New York. She was appointed to this position in 2000 and was reappointed in 2009 and 2019. She also served as an acting justice of the New York County Supreme Court beginning in 2009.[1]
Education
Pearl attended George Washington University for her bachelor's degree and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University for her J.D. She went on to receive her Ph.D. from Northwestern University.[2][1]
Career
Pearl began her career in 1988 as a law assistant in the Trial Part of the New York State Unified Court System. She then worked as an associate of Tenzer, Greenblatt, Fullon and Kaplan from 1990 to 1992. After returning from maternity leave, she worked as a New York Family Court Hearing Examiner from 1994 to 2000. She was then appointed to the family court. She also served as the supervising judge of the Kings County and Richmond County Family Courts from 2003 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, she was the supervising judge of the New York County Family Court. She was then appointed an acting justice of the New York County Supreme Court.[3]
